To get a feel for the relationship
between the variables in machining calculations poke in any
combination of variables and play around with it... every good
machinist needs to know the relationship of say SFPM to Dia and
RPM or Chip Load to Feed Rate, RPM and Number of Teeth being
used....
For all calculators....
1).Press Reset
2).Enter All but one value
3).Press Compute
Surface Feet Per Minute
(SFPM) = (Pi * Diameter" * RPM) / 12
Cutter Chip Load
(CL) = Feed Rate (Inches Per Minute) /
RPM * Number of Teeth
Inch to Millimeter Converter

Use x / y form for fraction variable..... Hey old timer! Try to
think back to the days when
you could not remember what 11/16 was in decimal form... for the
young machinists it is a tool to get a feel for the decimal /
fraction relationship. (Millimeters are so much simpler)
